Tony Hung, M.D., M.B.A. currently serves as the Administrative fellow at the Center for East West Medicine at UCLA (CEWM) and as Chief Resident of internal medicine at the Olive View UCLA Medical Center. He was voted as the most humanistic intern, the intern of the year, and the junior resident of year during his residency. His areas of interest include health services and outcomes research in oncology, integrative East-West medicine, and health system management. He is winner of the 2015 ACP Southern California Poster Competition on innovation research, and has previously published in Blood, Genetics, and the European Oncology & Hematology. In Fall 2015, he launched iCareX, a nonprofit organization to empower students to found innovation initiatives to target disparity in healthcare. Prior to his residency, he earned his doctorate degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, his master's degree at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and his bachelor of science in biochemistry at UCLA.
Through the support from the CEWM Administrative fellowship, Tony is interested in building a clinical training program on integrative East West oncology, with the goal to enhance the value of cancer patient care especially for the underserved.
