Dr. Justin Laube explains what integrative medicine is and gives advice on how to choose a good integrative practitioner in an interview with UCLA Healthy Years magazine.
The field of integrative medicine is growing rapidly at a national level. Many patients are seeking health care providers that are open to discussing “holistic” approaches to care and that are knowledgeable in complementary and alternative healing approaches. This is not limited to 30-somethings. There are many older adults who are also interested, and likely the most to benefit. I had the opportunity to have a dialogue with JoAnn Milivojevic, the executive editor for the UCLA Healthy publication, about this growing trend and practical approaches to finding an academic integrative medicine provider. See highlights of the interview written by Joann on page 6 in the attached article from Healthy Years publication, August 2016 - Volume 14 • Number 8.
