East-West Primary Care


The UCLA Center for East-West Medicine (CEWM) offers primary and continuity care services at the Santa Monica clinical site under the leadership of Edward Hui, MD, FACP. CEWM’s East-West Primary Care program consists of two other primary care providers, Katie Hu, MD, and Alan Chu, MD.

The mission of East-West Primary Care is to empower patients to develop optimal health and well-being through an academic-based model of primary care rooted in the principles of individualized disease prevention, holism, integrative medicine and traditional Chinese healing philosophy.

Becoming a Patient:

Dr Alan Chu is accepting new primary care patients at the Center for East West Medicine - Santa Monica Clinic.

All prospective patients must complete a Primary Care intake form:
