This year, Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior will be presenting the 3rd Annual UCLA Integrative Medicine and Mental Health Conference. The theme for this year's conference is "The Healing Power of Sound" and will feature workshops and didactic lectures on the health effects of sound and music therapy.
This conference will be chaired by Helen Lavretsky MD, Professor In-residence in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA, Semel Institute and member of the UCLA Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine (CCIM). Topics will include the use of sound healing an music therapy for treatment and prevention of mental and physical disorders, the brain and health effects of sound healing and music therapy, and different techniques of sound healing and music therapy.
All healthcare practitioners are welcome to join and discounts are available for trainees and paraprofessionals. CMEs and CEUs will be provided.
Cost: $50 per day or $100 for 2 days
