Duke Kunshan University is a Sino-American partnership of Duke University and Wuhan University to create a world-class research university. The Master of Science in Global Health program, in its 6th year, offers interdisciplinary training in research methodology and core concepts that can be applied across career paths in global health.Students will obtain an official Duke degree when graduate (Duke is ranked top 10 in the US and top 20 in the world). The campus is located in Kunshan, China adjacent to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai with full access to what China can offer. Students have an option to study at Duke campus in the 3rd semester and utilize all resources at Duke University including its global alumni networking and career services.
In the summer between the 2nd and 3rd semester, the program provides $7500 research funding for students to complete a field research in a 3rd country. So far, the students have conducted their field research in over 20 countries in 6 continents. The graduates have gone on to careers in global health research institutes, international and non-governmental organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation, private sectors such as GSK (vaccine) and KPMG (healthcare), and Government Agencies.
